Scrambled Eggs Ricotta Toast is a popular breakfast dish inspired by modern European café culture. Scrambled eggs have long been a staple of Western breakfasts, valued for their simplicity, nutrition, and comforting texture. When paired with creamy Italian ricotta cheese, the dish becomes even richer, softer, and more indulgent.

The combination of fluffy scrambled eggs and smooth ricotta layered over toasted bread creates a meal that is both nourishing and light. Its balance of protein, flavor, and texture has made it a favorite choice for breakfast and brunch menus around the world.

Today, many cafés offer creative variations of this dish by incorporating fresh herbs, seasonal vegetables, avocado, or smoked fish. Quick to prepare yet elegant to serve, Scrambled Eggs Ricotta Toast is an excellent option for busy mornings, leisurely brunches, or a wholesome snack.

Let’s explore how to make this delicious café-style breakfast at home.

Ingredients

  • 2 bread slices

  • 3 eggs

  • ½ cup ricotta cheese or processed cheese

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 2 tablespoons milk

  • ¼ teaspoon Shalimar's Chef Spices Black Pepper Powder

  • Salt to taste

  • ½ teaspoon olive oil

  • ¼ teaspoon chili flakes

  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley or fresh coriander leaves

Method

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and Shalimar's Chef Spices Black Pepper Powder until well combined.

Heat the butter in a non-stick pan over low to medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and gently stir continuously to create soft, creamy scrambled eggs. Remove from the heat while they are still slightly moist.

Toast the bread slices until golden and crisp. Spread the ricotta cheese (or processed cheese) evenly over the toast.

Top each slice with the freshly prepared scrambled eggs. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with chili flakes and chopped parsley or fresh coriander leaves.

Serve immediately and enjoy this creamy, protein-rich breakfast or brunch favorite.
