Garlic Bread is a simple yet incredibly flavorful dish that gained worldwide popularity through Italian-inspired cuisine. Its origins can be traced back to the traditional Italian Bruschetta, where toasted bread was served with olive oil, garlic, and herbs. Over time, the dish evolved in Europe and the United States, where the practice of spreading garlic-infused butter on bread and baking it until golden and crisp became widely popular.

Today, Garlic Bread is available in numerous variations, including Cheese Garlic Bread, Herb Garlic Bread, and Stuffed Garlic Bread. The irresistible combination of crispy bread, aromatic garlic, rich butter, and fragrant herbs makes it a favorite across all age groups.

Whether served as a side dish with pasta, soup, or salad, or enjoyed as an evening snack or party starter, Garlic Bread remains a restaurant-style classic that is both comforting and delicious.

Let’s find out how to make this crunchy, buttery, and flavorful Garlic Bread at home.

Ingredients

  • 4 bread slices

  • 3 tablespoons butter

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic

  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated

  • ½ teaspoon oregano

  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes

  • Salt to taste

  • ¼ teaspoon Shalimar's Chef Spices Black Pepper Powder

Method

In a small bowl, combine the butter and finely chopped garlic. Spread the garlic butter evenly over the bread slices.

Sprinkle the grated mozzarella cheese generously on top. Season with oregano, chili flakes, salt, and Shalimar's Chef Spices Black Pepper Powder.

Place the bread slices in a preheated oven, on a tawa, or in an air fryer and bake for 5–7 minutes, or until the bread turns crisp and golden and the cheese has melted completely.

Serve hot with soup, pasta, or as a delicious snack or party appetizer. Enjoy this restaurant-style Garlic Bread with its perfect blend of buttery, cheesy, and garlicky flavors.
