Let’s explore the simple method for making these crispy and cheesy Potato and Corn Cheese Balls at home.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup boiled potatoes, mashed

  • ½ cup sweet corn

  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, grated

  • ¼ cup cornflour

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

  • ¼ teaspoon Shalimar's Chef Spices Black Pepper Powder

  • ¼ teaspoon chili flakes

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • 1 teaspoon mixed herbs

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • Shalimar's Sunflower Oil, for deep frying

Method

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, sweet corn, mozzarella cheese, salt, Shalimar's Chef Spices Black Pepper Powder, mixed herbs, garlic powder, and chili flakes. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Shape the mixture into small, round balls of equal size.

Dip each ball into the cornflour slurry (prepared with a little water, if required) or coat lightly with cornflour, then dip into the beaten egg. Roll the balls in breadcrumbs until evenly coated.

Heat Shalimar's Sunflower Oil in a deep frying pan or kadai. Carefully add the cheese balls and deep-fry over medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy on all sides.

Remove and drain on absorbent paper to remove excess oil.

Arrange on a serving platter and serve hot with tomato sauce, mayonnaise, and a fresh salad on the side.

These crispy Potato and Corn Cheese Balls make a perfect snack for kids' lunch boxes, evening tea-time treats, or party appetizers.
