Ingredients
4 bhetki fillets
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp Shalimar's Chef Spices Red Chilli Powder
½ tsp Shalimar's Chef Spices Black Pepper Powder
Salt, to taste
2 eggs
2 tbsp all-purpose flour (maida)
2 cups breadcrumbs
Shalimar's Soyabean Oil, for deep-frying
4 tbsp kasundi
Method
Marinate the bhetki fillets with lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, and salt. Set aside for 30 minutes.
Beat the eggs and season with a little salt.
Coat each fish fillet evenly with maida, dip it into the beaten egg, and then coat thoroughly with breadcrumbs.
Heat Shalimar's Soyabean Oil in a deep pan. Fry the fish fillets over medium heat until golden brown and crisp on the outside.
Drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
Serve hot with kasundi and a fresh onion-cucumber salad.
