French Fries are one of the world's most loved potato snacks, enjoyed for their irresistibly crispy exterior and soft, fluffy interior. Simple yet satisfying, these golden fries have become a timeless favorite among both children and adults.
Whether served as an evening snack, a party appetizer, or alongside burgers and sandwiches, French Fries are always a crowd-pleaser. Their versatility and comforting flavor make them a staple on restaurant menus and at home alike.
With just a few basic ingredients and the right cooking technique, you can easily recreate restaurant-style French Fries in your own kitchen. Serve them hot with tomato ketchup, mayonnaise, cheese sauce, or your favorite dip for a classic snack that's crispy, delicious, and impossible to resist.

Ingredients
4 large potatoes
1 tbsp cornflour
Salt, to taste
½ tsp Shalimar's Chef Spices Black Pepper Powder
Cold water, as required
Shalimar's Soyabean Oil, for deep frying
Method
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin, even-sized strips. Soak the potato strips in cold water for 20 minutes to remove excess starch, which helps achieve a crispier texture.
Drain the potatoes thoroughly and pat them completely dry using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
Sprinkle the cornflour over the potato strips and toss gently until they are evenly coated.
Heat Shalimar's Soyabean Oil in a deep frying pan or kadai over medium heat. Fry the potatoes in batches for 3–4 minutes, just until they are lightly cooked without browning. Remove and let them cool completely.
Increase the oil temperature slightly and fry the potatoes a second time until they turn golden brown, crisp, and perfectly crunchy.
Drain on paper towels to remove any excess oil.
Season immediately with salt and Shalimar's Chef Spices Black Pepper Powder while the fries are still hot. Serve with tomato ketchup, mayonnaise, cheese sauce, or your favorite dip for crispy, restaurant-style French Fries.
