If you're looking for a healthier way to enjoy crispy, flavorful snacks, Air Fryer Chicken Pakora is the perfect choice. Made with succulent pieces of chicken coated in a well-seasoned batter, this delicious appetizer delivers the same irresistible crunch and bold flavors as the classic version, but with significantly less oil.
Using an air fryer allows the pakoras to turn perfectly crisp on the outside while remaining tender and juicy inside, making them a lighter alternative to deep-fried snacks without compromising on taste.
Ideal for evening tea, house parties, family get-togethers, or casual entertaining, Air Fryer Chicken Pakora is quick to prepare and sure to impress. Serve it hot with mint chutney, garlic mayo, or your favorite dipping sauce for a wholesome and satisfying snack that's both delicious and guilt-free.

Ingredients
500 g boneless chicken, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp Shalimar's Chef Spices Red Chilli Powder
¼ tsp Shalimar's Chef Spices Turmeric Powder
½ cup gram flour (besan)
2 tbsp cornflour
Salt, to taste
1 tbsp Shalimar's Sunflower Oil
Method
Place the boneless chicken pieces in a mixing bowl. Add the ginger-garlic paste, Shalimar's Chef Spices Red Chilli Powder, Shalimar's Chef Spices Turmeric Powder, and salt. Mix well and marinate for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to infuse.
Add the gram flour, cornflour, and Shalimar's Sunflower Oil to the marinated chicken. Mix thoroughly until each piece is evenly coated with the batter.
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (356°F) for a few minutes.
Arrange the coated chicken pieces in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
Air fry for 12–15 minutes, turning the chicken halfway through the cooking time to ensure it cooks evenly and develops a crisp, golden exterior.
Once the chicken is cooked through and beautifully crisp, remove it from the air fryer.
Serve hot with kasundi (Bengali mustard sauce), mint chutney, or your favorite dipping sauce for a healthier, crispy snack that's perfect for teatime, parties, or family gatherings.
